WTM Westmoreland Teen Center

Mission Statement:

Young adults of the WMTC play an active role in shaping the center’s culture and community. The center will be a safe, drug-free environment where young adults are free to work towards achieving their goals, receive academic support, and socialize with peers while using the center’s resources.

WMTC members and staff will communicate in a positive, respectful manner and violence and harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

The Westmoreland Teen Center is a community that stands against the illegal use of alcohol and illicit drugs while promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle for young adults.

Program Structure:

The Westmoreland Teen Center will offer a variety of academic support and enrichment programs. Members will be expected to participate in some form of structured programming each day. Time will be allotted daily for the free use of the computer lab and other WMTC resources. Members will only be required to participate in a particular program or activity due to academic or disciplinary reasons.

Members are free and encouraged to suggest new programs and activities. The WMTC will work with schools and community partners to identify new opportunities and support members in those endeavors.
