What You’ll Do:

• Assist the Lead or Group Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
• Support the implementation of planned curriculum and age-appropriate activities
• Help create an engaging classroom environment through displays, artwork, learning materials, and activities
• Assist with snack and meal times while supervising children
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom and surrounding areas
• Supervise children and support their safety, well-being, and individual needs
• Assist in maintaining classroom standards and following all licensing requirements
• Communicate any concerns, special needs, or suspected child abuse or neglect to the appropriate supervisor
• Attend staff meetings, training, planning, and evaluation meetings
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all Playmates policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, CDA, ACDS certificate, or equivalent preferred/required as applicable
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to work well with others and follow directions
• Positive, energetic, and caring attitude toward children and coworkers
• Ability to support children and families through transitions
• Knowledge of state standards, health, safety, sanitation, and childcare requirements
• Basic computer skills
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development
• Ability to follow and support the approved curriculum

• ECCAT certification required, or must be willing to obtain ECCAT certification if not currently certified

Pre K 3/4 Lead Teacher

Position Details:
🕒 Full-Time | Monday–Friday
📍 Location: Huntington & Barboursville
💲 Pay: $12.00–$17.00 per hour
🎯 Ages: 3

What You’ll Do:

• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate classroom activities that encourage children’s learning and development
• Implement the approved curriculum and maintain a consistent daily classroom schedule
• Create a welcoming, organized, and stimulating environment for children
• Provide active supervision and ensure children’s safety and well-being at all times
• Guide and support classroom staff in maintaining effective daily routines
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Keep families and the Site Director informed of children’s progress, needs, and concerns
• Maintain accurate classroom records, attendance, and required documentation
• Oversee daily routines, including meals, snacks, transitions, and cleanup
• Ensure the classroom meets cleanliness, sanitation, and childcare licensing standards
• Follow all Playmates policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements

• Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field required
• Previous classroom leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Playmates Preschools & Child Development Centers is seeking a dependable and flexible Full-Time Teacher’s Assistant to support our classrooms and teaching staff. This position involves assisting in whichever classroom needs additional support throughout the day. Responsibilities may vary depending on the needs of the center, providing an opportunity to work with children of different ages and support teachers with daily classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in various classrooms as needed.
• Help supervise children and support daily classroom activities.
• Assist with meals, snacks, and daily routines.

 Full-Time Handy Man

Are you skilled, dependable, and someone who enjoys working with your hands? Playmates Preschools & Child Development Centers is looking for a reliable and hardworking Handy Man to join our team and help maintain safe, clean, and functional facilities across our locations.

Position Details:

🛠️ Maintenance & Repairs

What You’ll Do:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other facility needs
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, classrooms, playgrounds, and equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance and repair requests
• Install, repair, and maintain fixtures, appliances, and equipment
• Help ensure all Playmates facilities remain safe, clean, and well-maintained
• Identify potential maintenance concerns and report additional repair needs to management
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and regulations
• Document completed maintenance and repair work
• Travel between Playmates locations as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in maintenance, handyman work, construction, or a related field preferred
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical labor as needed
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be willing to work at multiple Playmates locations
